Serving the Greater Charleston, Hilton Head,
& Myrtle Beach, SC Areas!
What is the difference between the Documentary and Cinematic version?
The documentary film is the long form version of your event. Other than color correction, special effects are limited, and you will receive footage from the ceremony and reception. This film is not a summary of your event, but the actual event from beginning to end. (Some videographers call this raw footage, but since it is edited together to flow nicely, we call it the Documentary version.)
The Cinematic version is a creative collaboration of events from your special day. This video is typically between 20-30 minutes, will have special effects, and includes (if included in your package) Bridal Prep, Groom Prep, Pre-Ceremony, Ceremony, and the Reception.
Do you film weddings outside of Charleston?
Yes! Our home office is located in Charleston, but we love to travel! Distances up to 2 hours and weddings in the Lake Lure area are included in all packages. If you are located outside of this zone, please contact us for a personalized travel package.
Do you film destination weddings?
Yes! Please contact us for a personalized quote. If you are an Italy destination bride, please visit www.RDHVPinItaly.com for more information!
How long will it take to receive our wedding video?
Typical turnaround time is 12 to 14 weeks. All Highlight Films will be posted within 10 days of your event.
What does the booking process look like?
If you are interested in booking us, please contact us for our availability. From there, a $400 non-refundable deposit is required to hold your date and we will send our contract to make things official. The balance is due no later than 14 days before your event. (We accept payment through PayPal or a check.) That’s it!
Can I purchase additional hours?
Yes! Additional hours may be purchased in advance, and are $250 per hour.
Can I have the raw footage in addition to the edited footage?
No, unfortunately the raw footage is not distributed or for sale. However, what others call “raw footage” we call the Documentary Version! Included with each package, you receive a Cinematic version (a 10-20 minute highlight film) AND the Documentary Version, which is edited raw footage that shows your entire event in real time. We NEVER charge extra to give you the documentary footage, because while the highlights are cool, seeing and hearing the day as it happened is priceless!
